Healthcare Security and Safety in BC The International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety, or IAHSS for short, is the only organization solely dedicated to professionals involved in managing and directing security and safety programs in healthcare institutions. The BC chapter of IAHSS is comprised of security, law enforcement, and safety individuals dedicated to the protection of healthcare facilities in British Columbia. IAHSS strives to combine public safety officer training with staff training, policies and technology to achieve the most secure hospital environments possible. Additionally, the IAHSS partners with government agencies and other organizations representing risk managers, emergency managers, engineers, architects, nurses, doctors and other healthcare stakeholders to further patient security and safety. |
ASIS Canadian Pacific ChapterThe ASIS Canadian Pacific Chapter 190 is an association of security professionals from many areas within the security profession and industry in BC and the Yukon. Our membership has a wide range of expertise and is knowledgeable in the various facets that can comprise the security profession and industry.
The chapter conducts regular lunch meetings and educational seminars that give the opportunity to maintain current certification credentials for members and non-members through information, education and networking opportunities. The Canadian Pacific Chapter also supports ASISInternational’s certification and education programs offered throughout the year. We encourage and welcome members, members guests, and non-members to attend as many meetings and educational offerings as they can. |
